About This Visa
There are two streams for eligible applicants namely, Regional Provisional Scheme for Holders of Subclass 491 or 494 visa for at least 3 years and Hong Kong Stream for holders of Hong Kong or British National (Overseas) passports.

1.Regional Provisional Scheme

To qualify for this visa, applicants must have held a Subclass 491 or 494 visa for at least three years, demonstrating their commitment to regional Australia. This visa allows you and your family to settle permanently in Australia, with access to the country’s robust healthcare system, education, and social security benefits. It also acts as a stepping stone towards citizenship.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid Subclass 491 or 494 visa.
- Have lived and worked in a designated regional area for at least three years.
- Have a taxable income at or above a specific threshold for at least three years while holding the previous visa.
- Comply with the conditions of the Subclass 491 or 494 visa.
- Meet health and character requirements.
2.Hong Kong Stream

This stream is available for Hong Kong or British National (Overseas) passport holders and if you have the passport from these countries, you do not need a sponsor or nominator.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Holder of eligible visa 457, 482 or 485 for at least 3 years
- Hold a Hong Kong or British National (Overseas) passport
- Have lived, worked, or studied in a designated regional area for at least three years.
- Demonstrate Functional English requirement
- Comply with the visa conditions
- Meet health and character requirements
