The Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) Visa (Subclass 888) is the corresponding permanent visa for entrepreneurs and investors holding the pre-requisite Subclass 188 visa.

Each stream has specific requirements regarding the duration of stay in Australia, investment amounts, business operations, and contributions to the Australian economy. The visa allows for permanent residency, enabling holders to manage their businesses or investments indefinitely within Australia.

General Eligibility
To be eligible for the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) Visa (Subclass 888), applicants must:
- Currently hold a provisional Business Innovation and Investment visa (Subclass 188) and have met the requirements of that visa in the stream in which they first applied.
- Demonstrate a successful business or investment history, including meeting specific financial thresholds and business activity criteria.
- Fulfil health and character requirements set by the Australian Department of Home Affairs.
- Meet additional requirements specific to the stream under which they are applying, which may include business turnover, personal and business assets, and investment quanta.
