Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (Subclass 482)
This visa category allows Australian employers to address labour shortages by bringing in skilled workers from overseas for up to 2 years for occupations listed on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) or for up to 4 years the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). Applicants must be nominated by an approved Australian sponsoring employer and meet the required skill set for their nominated occupation.

Employer Nomination Scheme Visa (Subclass 186)
The Subclass 186 visa provides skilled workers with a permanent residency option when sponsored nominated by an Australian employer. It is designed for those who have proven their worth in the Australian labour market or who have the skills that Australia needs.
This visa comes in several “flavours” or streams. Temporary Residence Transition (TRT) for those who have worked for their employer/sponsor on a 482 visa, Direct Entry (DE) for those of select occupations who posses three years of experience in their occupation and hold a valid skills assessment, and Labour Agreement (LA) for those sponsored by a Labour Agreement holder.
